This 30-minute documentary addresses fears by promoting end-of-life planning and discussions. It highlights the importance of making choices before a crisis and showcases individuals who have found comfort and peace in their end-of-life process. The documentary aims to empower viewers to have open conversations about death and emphasizes that peaceful endings are achievable with proper planning.
Presenter Laura Riedel was a midwife for three decades guiding women and families through the miracle and mystery of birth. She was the Health Care Agent for both of her parents and learned first hand the nuances of navigating personal decisions and the medical world of treatment. Her experiences with birth and death have led her to recognize that both beg for answers to the same questions. What is my understanding of this journey or this diagnosis? What are my hopes? What are my fears? Speaking about these questions took her on an intimate journey with herself and her loved ones. Embracing her answers helps her live more deeply now.
