3D Printing: D&DSTEMLearn the ins and outs of 3D Design and 3D printing with TinkerCAD! While learning 3D design skills, students will make custom D&D D4s (4-sided dice) and D10s (10-sided dice). 3D Printing: Jewelry Fabrication & ArtsSTEMBring your creations to life in this 3D printing class. The ancient craft of jewelry making is brought to the modern world using TinkerCAD and 3D printers. Students will learn to build 2D and 3D models on the computer using CAD software. They will design and print a pair of earrings, a ring, or a pendant in this class. 3D Printing: Product Development & FabricationSTEMThis camp is a hands-on product design class, emphasizing creative thinking and problem solving. Students will explore options to find, modify and prepare 3D files to be brought to life, using a 3D printer. By the end of this course, students will become familiar with the workflow and terminology of digital fabrication. This class is for 7th and 8th graders with band experience. Weekly rehearsals will be held at Burnsville High School in the Band Room and students can utilize activity buses from their middle school. American Heart Association Heartsaver Adult, Child, Infant CPR/AED CertificationPersonal DevelopmentThe AHA Heartsaver Adult, Child, Infant CPR/AED Certification Course, offered by Twin Cities CPR, is a 3-hour, hands-on training designed to equip participants with the skills and confidence to respond to cardiac emergencies across all age groups. This engaging course covers comprehensive CPR techniques for adults, children, and infants, along with the proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Twin Cities CPR fosters an inclusive and supportive learning environment, addressing barriers in CPR training by providing female anatomy mannequins to normalize practice across genders. The student registered for the course MUST have their personal e-mail associated with the registration. Attendance is required for ALL classes. June 14th, 2025 LGI/LGIT re-cert course to enroll Upon successful completion of class, you will acquire the ARC re-certification in lifeguarding, CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers, and first aid. This course includes passing 3 written exams with a score of 80% or better and a physical skills test on the last day of class. Bring a swimsuit, towel, dinner, water bottle, notebook, and pen to each class. Females must wear a one-piece swimsuit. The student registered for the course MUST have their personal e-mail associated with the registration. Attendance is required for ALL classes. Certification is valid for 2 years. Prerequisites: On the first day of class, you must be prepared to: 1. Provide an American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification, current or expired by no more than 30 days. 2. Swim-Tread-Swim Sequence (Goggles MAY be worn). - Jump into the water and fully submerge, resurface then swim 150 yards continuously using breaststroke and/or front crawl. - Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs. - Swim 50 yards continuously using breaststroke and/or front crawl. 3. Complete a timed event within 1 minute 40 seconds (goggles may NOT be worn). - Starting in the water, swim 20 yards (the face may be in or out of the water). - Surface dive (feet-first or head-first) 7-10 feet, retrieve a 10-pound brick. - Resurface and swim 20 yards on the back to the starting point with both hands on the brick and exit the side of the pool without using a ladder. 4. The goal of the Burnsville Senior Center is to enhance the lives of senior adults through engagement, services, enjoyable activities, and companionship. Our mission is to provide a central hub for senior adults with offerings that respect their experiences, and talents; caters to their diverse needs and interests; upholds their dignity; promotes independence; and encourages active participation here and throughout the community.
