The Books R Us Club meets the 3rd Monday from 1 - 3 pm, January through December in the Senior Center at Diamondhead. Book Club discussions are supported by the Dakota County Library system. Card Recyclers recycle and upcycle donated greeting cards for resale in the Burnsville Senior Center. They meet on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month from 12:30-4 pm. All are welcome to join. Card donations are always welcome and may be dropped off at the Burnsville Senior Center.

Join this community minded, social group of crafters who make special projects for people who receive meals on wheels, and those who live in skilled care facilities, and health care centers. Group meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday from 9 am-12 pm.

The Knitters Group generate hundreds of mittens, scarves, lap robes, afghans, booties, slippers, and more for various charitable organizations within our community. If you want to needle with us, give us a call…we want you! We’ll even help you learn basic knitting and crocheting. Knitting/Crocheting group meets the 2nd Friday of each month at 9:00 am. Yarn donations are always welcomed.

The quilters create warm, colorful quilts for children in shelters, and hospitals, elderly folks in health care centers and more. The quilters have a great time sharing their quilting skills and knowledge while producing hundreds of quilts. All the quilts are made from donated fabric and are in turn donated to local organizations. Fabric donations are always welcome. this group meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month in the Senior Center Meeting Room at Diamondhead.

Do you like to cross stitch, needlepoint, knit or crochet, tat, or perhaps do another type of handcraft? All types of hand stitching is welcome to join the South Metro Stitchers. If you are a beginner looking for tips and tricks, there's probably someone who can help. Make time to work in community on that project you are completing for a charity, a gift for a friend, or something for yourself. Contact the Senior Center for more info.
