Kiwanis Lights in MankatoDay Trips and ToursCheck in will begin at 2 pm for our 2:30 p.m. Departure. Please arrive no later than 2:15 pm at the Burnsville Senior Center, 200 W. Burnsville Pwky - bus will load at #12 Door lower level. 4:00 p.m. Arrive Mankato. We'll start with a meal at Number 4 American Kitchen. Enjoy a classic chicken pot pie with a flaky, buttery crust, beverage, and mini creme brule for dessert. We depart the restaurant at 5:30 pm. and head to the Sibley Park Kiwanis Holiday Lights display. Were we'll enjoy over one million lights in the park which has paved pathways. Displays have been created by volunteers who bend, weld and mold metals and add colored rope lights. Some displays are over 15 feet high. Newer displays are even larger and often involve moving LED lights. Look for Santa's Toy Factory, the Candy Cane Cottage and the Elves snowball fight, flying Santa, and the 19 piece Nativity Scene. There is a skating rink with a synthetic surface, live reindeer, animated and choreographed lights. Concessions and souvenirs are available in the warming house. Heated restrooms are also available. Visitors can donate cash or non-perishable food items at various points. 7:00 p.m. Leave Mankato. Our estimated return time to Burnsville is 8:30 p.m. Registration Deadline Monday, November 3. No Refunds after this date. $10 processing fee on cancellations prior to November 3. $99/passenger includes the cost of transportation, features outlined in the description, taxes and customary gratuities. Voluntary tips for the driver and tour director are customary and vary with the extent of the trip. Industry standards range from $1-$5 per passenger for each.
