Grade 3-5 girls and non-binary/gender-expansive youth Girls on the Run is an afterschool program that uses the power of running to teach about self-respect and healthy living. Runners learn lessons about healthy friendships, teamwork, and decision-making, while preparing to run at the Girls on the Run 5k on November 11 or 12. No running experience is required, and generous financial aid is available. Register at www.gotrmn.org. Paper registrations are available in English, Spanish or Somali. No one turned away for financial reasons. Running shoes and clothes can also be provided. Indicate your need on the registration form. Visit www.gotrmn.org or contact your coach for more information. Space is limited so register early! No transportation provided. Runners must be picked up promptly. Attendance on both days is required. Three absences permitted. Parents must attend a meeting on the first evening of practice. Dress for the weather, as we practice outside rain, snow or sunshine as much as possible.
