Blaze Elementary Cross CountryBlaze SportsEntering Gr K-6Our Elementary Cross Country running team is designed to introduce young athletes to running and allow experienced runners to continue with the sport. During practice we focus on aerobic endurance and fitness, core strength and flexibility, the importance of sleep and nutrition. We also have the opportunity to participate in Cross Country style races with other teams from local areas/ districts. Most importantly, we have fun! Practices will be on Mondays from 6 - 7 pm. The first two weeks there will also be practice on Thursdays at the same time. Most meets will be on Thursdays at 6 pm (Meet locations will vary from week to week). Tentative schedule here. More information can be found on the BHS Cross Country Website Cost is $75, which covers the team t-shirt, race entry fees, and other administrative costs.Summer 2026 -
Burnsville Blaze Youth WrestlingSports and RecreationBurnsville Blaze Youth Wrestling Boys and Girls Age 4-Grade 5 Blaze Youth Wrestling is open to boys and girls of all experience levels. Practices are held twice a week and focus on wrestling fundamentals (stance, positioning, takedowns, escapes, and pinning) while creating a team environment that emphasizes fun and sportsmanship. Wrestlers should demonstrate effort and the ability to follow instructions. Competition at local meets is optional (additional cost). Registration fee includes t-shirt and an additional team swag item. Practice (for all ages) will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Burnsville High School wrestling room from November to March. The latter part of class time will focus on more advanced techniques.Fall 2026 -

Athletes benefit from training in agility, power, perseverance, and resilience; attributes that all athletes strive to improve. Our Conquer Rec Team is designed for youth, ages 6-13, of all experience levels. Our Rec Team will practice on real obstacles inspired by the TV show such as warped walls, salmon ladders, tilting ladders and so much more during their weekly practice. Rec Team members will learn the styles and techniques to develop their Ninja Skills with over 40 different obstacles! Eight-week long Rec Team consists of 6 practices and 2 competitions (week 4 and week 8). Six-week long Rec Team consists of 4 practices and 2 competitions (week 3 and week 6).
