Burnsville Blaze Youth Wrestling Beginner/Novice/CasualSports and RecreationPopularBurnsville Blaze Youth Wrestling Beginners/Novice/Casual Boys and Girls Pre K-Grade 5 Calling all new and novice wrestlers and the wrestler who just wants to have fun. You’ll learn and apply wrestling basics including stance, take-downs, escapes and pinning combinations. Wrestlers are prepared to participate in competitions and to move to the next class level. In order to move to advanced wrestling, wrestlers must show proficiency and ability to concentrate and follow instructions duirng practice time. Stregnth and conditioning is included on Thursdays from 6:00-6:50 pm. We will offer the opportunity to wrestle at multiple tournaments. Tournaments are primarily on Saturdays and Sundays. An occasional Friday evening tournament may occur. A list of tournaments will be provided. Attending tournaments is optional. Cost of class includes t-shirt, shorts, and singlet.Fall 2024

Wrestlers must show proficiency in certain techniques and abilities which will be judged by coaching staff, as well as demonstrate an ability to concentrate and follow instructions during practice. Wrestlers learn more advanced techniques in all aspects of wrestling and detail oriented instruction. This is a fun class with a more competitive environment. Strength and conditioning workouts on Thursdays are optional. Check with the coaches for additional information. Tournaments are primarily on Saturdays and Sundays. The gym is set with age appropriate equipment, obstacle courses and music. Children work on coordination, rhythm, spacial awareness, social and motor skills.
