Stevie Ray’s Improv Company was founded in 1989 by Stevie Ray and Pamela Mayne. As a non-profit arts organization, the organization’s mission is to bring new artists to the stage, to provide quality comedy entertainment to the Twin Cities, and to use the art of improvisation to improve people’s lives. After operating their own venues and appearing at theatres around the area, Stevie Ray’s moved its operations to the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, where they feature improv comedy shows year round. Stevie Ray’s has brought hundreds of new improv artists to the stage, and taught thousands of people improvisation, stand-up comedy, and sketch writing through Stevie Ray’s School of Improv. Today, the shows and school are under the director of Artistic Director, Joe Harstad, with Stevie and Pamela acting as Executive Director and Director of Operations.
