Burnsville Pwky - bus will load at #12 Door lower level. 4:00 p.m. Arrive Mankato. We'll start with a meal at Number 4 American Kitchen. Enjoy a classic chicken pot pie with a flaky, buttery crust, beverage, and mini creme brule for dessert. We depart the restaurant at 5:30 pm. and head to the Sibley Park Kiwanis Holiday Lights display. Were we'll enjoy over one million lights in the park which has paved pathways. Displays have been created by volunteers who bend, weld and mold metals and add colored rope lights. Some displays are over 15 feet high. Newer displays are even larger and often involve moving LED lights. Look for Santa's Toy Factory, the Candy Cane Cottage and the Elves snowball fight, flying Santa, and the 19 piece Nativity Scene. There is a skating rink with a synthetic surface, live reindeer, animated and choreographed lights. Concessions and souvenirs are available in the warming house. Heated restrooms are also available. Lower level parking lot off of Pillsbury Ave. 10:30 am A professional tour guide will step on the coach in St. Paul for a riding tour of the "Saintly City" that features exterior views of its many famous attractions, expected to include the Minnesota State Captiol, History Center, Landmark Center, Cathedral of St. Paul and the magnificent Victorian-era mansions lining historic Summit Aveue. Infamous sites will also be highlighted where bootleggers, bankrobbers and gangsters operated while "hiding in plain sight" from the FBI. Learn why St. Paul became a haven for the nation's most notorious gangsters during the first decade of the 20th Century, and the impact of that legacy.
