For Parents and Guardians of Children Birth to Pre-kindergarten READY! for Kindergarten empowers parents as their children’s first and most influential teachers in the years before school begins. School districts and organizations offer READY! to help close the achievement gap by partnering with parents so more children succeed in school and in life. How READY! for Kindergarten Works READY! for Kindergarten consists of Age Level Targets©, training, and tools to "play with a purpose," making learning at home fun and effective. Parents can attend up to three 90-minute in-person or online workshops per year for each of the first five years of their child’s life. Classes and materials are split into three sessions per year, once in the fall, winter and spring. Each session demonstrates to families the activities you can share with your child to build upon his or her development in that age group. Age groups are split into 0-1, 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 and 4-5; and are offered at each class in both a virtual and in-person format. Register for the age group of your child based on his/her age on September 1 of 2025. Please note: this workshop is designed for parents/guardians alone (infants are welcome).
