ECFE Parent Support VisitsEarly Childhood Family EducationISD 191 offers free ECFE visits with a licensed parent educator for families with children from birth to eight years old. A visit involves meeting with a professional who is there to listen and support you on your parenting journey. Here's what you can expect:• Location: The visit can happen at your home, in the community, virtually or over the phone • Duration: Each visit usually lasts about an hour and happens every couple of weeks.• Purpose: The parent educator will offer guidance, answer your questions and connect you with community resources.• Focus: The goal is to support your unique family values and needs during your child's early years.Please register for a Parent Support Visit and one of our parent educators will reach out to you to schedule your visits within 5-7 days.Fall 2026

Ready! for Kindergarten Parent WorkshopReady! for KindergartenFor Parents and Guardians of Children Birth to Pre-kindergarten READY! for Kindergarten empowers parents as their children’s first and most influential teachers in the years before school begins. School districts and organizations offer READY! to help close the achievement gap by partnering with parents so more children succeed in school and in life. How READY! for Kindergarten Works READY! for Kindergarten consists of Age Level Targets©, training, and tools to "play with a purpose," making learning at home fun and effective. Parents can attend up to three 90-minute in-person or online workshops per year for each of the first five years of their child’s life. Classes and materials are split into three sessions per year, once in the fall, winter and spring. Each session demonstrates to families the activities you can share with your child to build upon his or her development in that age group. Age groups are split into 0-1, 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 and 4-5; and are offered at each class in both a virtual and in-person format. Register for the age group of your child based on his/her age on September 1 of 2026. Please note: this workshop is designed for parents/guardians alone (infants are welcome).
