Blaze Elementary Cross CountryBlaze SportsEntering Gr K-6Our Elementary Cross Country running team is designed to introduce young athletes to running and allow experienced runners to continue with the sport. During practice we focus on aerobic endurance and fitness, core strength and flexibility, the importance of sleep and nutrition. We also have the opportunity to participate in Cross Country style races with other teams from local areas/ districts. Most importantly, we have fun! Practices will be on Mondays from 6 - 7 pm. The first two weeks there will also be practice on Thursdays at the same time. Most meets will be on Thursdays at 6 pm (Meet locations will vary from week to week). Tentative schedule here. Blaze Swim and Dive Camp - Competitive Swimming and Diving GR 5-12Blaze Sports Middle School/High SchoolFor Intermediate SwimmersEntering Grades 5-12 These camps are designed for students who are comfortable swimming at least one length of the pool (25 yards). Participants must be comfortable and safe in the deep end of the pool. Learn competition fundamentals and how to push yourself in a fun and supportive environment. Swim and Dive Camps offer excellent benefits for all levels of experience with a great coach to athlete ratio with 2-3 coaches; participation in both camps is encouraged. Upon completion, participants will receive a swim and dive summer camp shirt as well as information to get connected to BHS high school teams, as well as competitive clubs in the area. Optional pool party at Eagle Ridge Middle School for all campers and immediate family members on August 7. Blaze Intro to Competitive Swim (Held at the Burnsville High School Pool) Swim camp will be an introduction to the 4 competitive swim strokes, as well as starts, turns, finishes and techniques. Improve your skills and learn what competitive swimming is all about. T-shirt provided at end of camp. Camper must bring suit, towel, and goggles. Blaze Intro to Competitive Diving (Held at the Eagle Ridge Middle School Pool) Learn the basics of competitive diving, including numbering, scoring, board approach, etc. Get comfortable jumping, diving (and potentially flipping) off of the one-meter springboard. Former gymnasts are strongly encouraged to try diving! T-shirt provided at end of camp. Camper must bring suit, towel, and goggles. Goggles can not be worn off the diving board. Blaze TennisBlaze Sports Middle School/High SchoolEntering Grades 7-12 The Burnsville summer tennis program is a fun and educational program centered around drills and matches to improve your child's skill and growing your student's love for the game. Camp drills will run weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-3 pm, with matches on Wednesdays (usually 9 am-3 pm). The camp is lead by current and former BHS coaches and players. Tennis shoes and a racket are required to participate, it is also a good idea to bring water and a snack, especially on match days.Summer 2026 -

Campfire Cooking3D Discover, Dream, Do!Kids will take their fire skills to the next level by not only learning how to make fire and different fire structures but the science of using fire to cook things too! This class will teach all the basics like s’mores and tinfoil packets up to more advanced skills like dutch oven baking and spit roasting over the fire. Your campfire chefs will know how to make full course meals by the end of this class in addition to how to make a fire and manage it safely. Additionally, if your site allows it and there are things in season we may also do some foraging for some of the recipes too! We are working hard to have recipes for all dietary needs that are things kids will enjoy cooking and will be using a lot of raw and unprocessed ingredients and also have vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free options for most of the recipes we make. Please let us know if your child has dietary needs beyond this and we will work with you to make alterations when possible! Topics include supervision, behavior guidance, proper feeding and diapering techniques, personal safety, basic first aid, medical emergencies, fire, and kitchen safety.
