Blaze Elementary Cross CountryBlaze SportsEntering Gr K-6Our Elementary Cross Country running team is designed to introduce young athletes to running and allow experienced runners to continue with the sport. During practice we focus on aerobic endurance and fitness, core strength and flexibility, the importance of sleep and nutrition. We also have the opportunity to participate in Cross Country style races with other teams from local areas/ districts. Most importantly, we have fun! Practices will be on Mondays from 6 - 7 pm. The first two weeks there will also be practice on Thursdays at the same time. Most meets will be on Thursdays at 6 pm (Meet locations will vary from week to week). Tentative schedule here. More information can be found on the BHS Cross Country Website Cost is $75, which covers the team t-shirt, race entry fees, and other administrative costs.Summer 2026 -

Burnsville Best Running (Gr 5-9) and Blaze Cross Country (Grades 6-12)Blaze Sports Middle School/High SchoolBlaze Cross Country - June 15-July 30Grades 6-12 Summer Running program is designed to build a base level of fitness to get athletes ready for the fall cross country season. We focus on aerobic endurance and fitness, core strength and flexibility, the importance of sleep and nutrition, and the value of being on a team. (Meet at Terrace Oaks East, 12650 Parc Dr, Burnsville, MN) Burnsville Best Running Camp - July 20-23Grades 5-9 Practice and learn from the best Burnsville has to offer. Former Blaze All-State Athletes, current college athletes, and Big Ten Champions will be on hand to help young runners learn what it takes to be the best at your sport. A focus on goal-setting, consistency, teamwork, and optimism will be preached in addition to workouts, games, and challenges each day. (Held at Pates Stadium at BHS) Take Both and Save! Grades 6-9 The week of July 20-23, meet up at Pates Stadium, at the high school.Summer 2026
